1967 Scout 800
4 speed 345, 4 barrel
Burleson, TX
Clean Title in hand
I picked this scout up a few years ago but have recently had my first kiddo and not sure when I will get a chance to get back out in the garage to start on it again... then there's life, lol. Plus my garage has been taken over by the misses, ha.
What's been done
Floor replaced where needed with new metal.
inner rockers replaced
outers look good except for one area on driver side, small area
Fame on truck wire wheeled, cleaned, primed/painted.
New body mounts
Spring over and reverse shackle, sitting on scout II springs. New bushing installed in springs, new center pins, cleaned and painted, all new hardware when installed.
Dana 27 axles removed and replace with scout II dana 44 axles, rebuilt tip to top with Timken bearings, G2 4.09 gears & a Detroit Tru Trac in the rear. Front diff is open.
New calipers installed, from break rotors turned, drums turned and all new hardware and parts, pads, springs & cylinders for rear breaks- come with truck, not installed.
New spindle studs installed
New upper and lower ball joints and tie rod ends installed.
Cut and turn front knuckles to 4 degree
New body bushings installed on 1" body spacers
Brand new BFG MT T/A 33X10.5X15
345 w/ 4 barrel installed, mounts heavy tacked in place, new motor mounts. Engine is unknown, running when pulled, sat in barn for 10 years, covered except for spark plugs were not in it for some reason..
orginal 3 speed replaced with 4 speed, mounting complete, with new rubber mounts, trans looks great inside.
Other parts that come with the truck
Professional rebuilt 4 barrel quad jet
Duraspark ignition (ford conversion, bought from a member here)
New plug wire,
NOS (i believe) V8 sized radiator
orginal fuel tanks, new fuel filler necks, filler caps and fuel valves, (these are not OEM replacements but will work) also a roll of fuel line
steel brake line kit
hydraboost pulled from Astro van
Scout II steering box
Ruff stuff specialties 6' piece of DOM, flip kit, inserts for steering arm
new steering rod tie rods
roll of heat reflective material
raptor liner kit
extra t-case
other Misc parts from donor truck and orginal
also have a 196 that was open to the elements that could be useful for external parts & another 3 speed with t-case attached.
This is a TX truck that has spent its time around the Johnson country area. The goal of this project was to build a good foundation working up. Body is in great shape and almost ALL areas of rust have been addressed. It is a project but a lot has been put into it. I am a mechanic by trade & training with experience on heavy equipment field service work, manufacturing and welding.
There is no top for the truck as I was planning on running a soft top.
Will post the pictures I can, best option though is to contact me. Ill be happy to answer any questions, send more pics, make videos or face time the truck as I walk around it. (please be serious though)
asking $5000
Thanks
