1966 304 V8 Crankcase Ventilation

I can't get a good understanding from page 60 in the truck service manual how this is supposed to work. What I have looks like a hodgepodge of brass fittings. And thumbing through the book I don't see any pictures configured the same as my intake manifold.
Does anyone have a good diagram of how this is supposed to be? I'm trying to restore this as close to original as possible for 1966. If there is an upgrade that would make things run better, I'm good with that as an option too.
I'm a gonna keep digging in the shop manuals but any advice is appreciated.
Thanks!

Your photo is chopped off when it opens. I can't see the entire situation.
Do you have a PCV valve in the valley pan rubber grommet?
Then all you need is a hose to connect to the intake manifold fitting.

Here is a photo of a 68 304. should be the same. This has power brakes and a valve in the vacuum advance port.
In the photo I marked the vacuum lines:
Green= PCV system. I circled the PCV valve
Blue= Brake booster
Red= To Vacuum advance
Not shown, it the make up air system. Your oil fill tube should have a nipple on it just below the cap. That nipple gets plumbed into the bottom of the air cleaner inside of the filter element. This allows the pcv system to scavenge the combustion gases from the inside of the engine during low throttle situations while there is a good manifold vacuum, supply the fresh air, and while unhigh load conditions allow excess blow by crankcase pressure to escape
