1964 Travelall Seat Slider Question

Seem to be missing the wire that releases the seat stops from the drivers side handle over to the passenger side. Anyone know where I can get such wire...or what to use to make a replacement wire?
Thanks

Osh has all types of tie wire. Something that has some hardness is best like music wire.
Even good ole bailing wire would do. It's not hard but big enough to be strong. Simply give the loop back wire a few wraps around the main wire.

The release wire on my old front seat base looks like a piece of bailing wire. The base has been sitting on the floor under the truck for a few years. If a green seat base will go with your color scheme, I wouldn't have to sweep around it next time the truck is out of the garage! :ihih:

I fixed it today! Finally we can slide the seat forward and back! Just bought some 14 gauge wire at an ace hardware and hooked it on both sides...sprayed some lube in the tracks and I can now comfortably drive it!!

Thanks bill for the offer on the seat...but the sweeping shall live on I'm afraid!
