I have the 345 in my Scout. It had the old coil, points and a Holley distributor. I never had any running issues. Starts were ok and the power was acceptable. I put in a pertronix and a pertronix coil. I had to adjust my timing and carb after that. It started quicker, ran a little smoother and has maybe a little more pep. I did it around the time I changed to bigger tires, so some of the feel has been lost. I would certainly do it again for the price.
