Hey everyone
I know it has been a long time and I no longer have the Scout but I have come across a 1955 International pickup and I was wondering if anyone had any info for me, its a 6 cylinder, the only down side is that it is 2 wheel drive I know that isnt a problem cause I can change that out but is there anything that I should look for problems wise, I know it starts up and the guy says it runs strong. How are these motors? Is it something I should jump at or stay away from. Scoutdude I know you are a truck guy so you maybe able to help but anyone that is up for helping is more then welcome. Thanks again guys.
Hope to get back together sometime

Hello, I have a 1954 r-110 pickup as well as a 66 Scout. The truck is a two-wheel drive as well. The engines that are in those trucks are a silver diamond 220 with a 4 speed tranny. I have had my truck for about 6 years. The engine is solid; I have yet been able to blow it up. I drove this truck back and forth to school and never had any issues (besides the occasional dead battery, which was soon solved by adding an alternator). I would recommend if you do buy it to buy a wiring harness and completely re-wire it and changing it to a GM one wire alternator if it hasn’t been done already. The parts for these trucks aren’t too hard to find. Napa/autozone carries some of them. I would make sure that all the parts are there and that there is no little to no rust on the truck.

I need a new carb, linkage, etc. For my engine. Would they be able to set me up?

As far has having a holey 1904 carb, they should. That is where I got mine from. You can also find them on ebay. As far as the linkage are you referring to the linkage that goes through the engine and comes up the passenger side of the engine?
