For sale I have 2 152 engines. One is frozen, but complete and is the early downdraft motor. The other has been bored .040 over, and if I remember right the crank had been ground as well. It has scoring in the cylinder walls though. Both for $200

I have 4 .040 flat top pistons with rings for a 152 I was going to use, but went a different route instead. $100.

A set of 4 196 .030 rings. $80

early Scout 800 196 block with side boss fuel pump. Comes with head, crank, matching flywheel, and oil pan. Can add parts to make it complete if you want them. Needs rebuilt. $200

Scout 80 motor mounts $20

Scout 2 196 intake manifold and carburetor. $80

2 266v8 heads $80

I have other engine parts too, just send me a pm. All prices are obo, and I'm most likely willing to split up parts of the engines.

What do you mean by early downdraft motor? Did the early scouts have a different carb? Or some different parts?

The valley/lifter cover has a tube that goes down below the engine that sucks/vents in air instead of a baffled male nipple to hook up to a pcv system. It was the cruder way of venting the crankcase. It was only on the 61/62 Scout 80 152 motors to the best of my knowledge. Also, the early scouts had a different thermostat housing, but the Holley 1904 carb remained unchanged throughout the years on the 152.

Terms "downdraft", updraft", sidedraft" refer to the intake/carb configuration on any engine.

The correct term for the early Scout and any passenger vehicle engine produced prior to the mandatory inclusion of the pcv system is "road draft" tube-type of engine ventilation system.

I am looking for a s800 196 engine to swap into my s80.... You still have one available?

I would prefer one running...but I could have it rebuilt I guess.

Yes it is still available. It will need rebuilt but I have new .030 piston rings in a set of 4 that would go with it. You normally have to buy a set of 8 as I did. Let me know if you are still interested. Thanks.

I don't guess you have a head off the 196 you'd want to sell would you?
