1110 4x4 front brakes

So I am trying to decide which way to go on the front end of my 73 1110 4x4 pickup. I have installed new ball joints, axle joints and tie rod ends. Brakes are holding me back. Lots of advise to convert to discs.. Not much easier here to find mid seventies Chevy stuff than IH. For simplicity and ease on the wallet I think keeping the drums would be the way to go. I have new hoses, but need a spindle, mc , rebuilt wheel cylinders, reline shoes and better drums.
For discs I will need to find some spindles, caliper stands and calipers, hub and rotor, pads, hoses and mc.
Any opinions or source for some of this stuff at reasonable prices?

An 1110 4x4 uses a massive set of lockheed brakes on the front.

There is no way that the typical "local option" disc conversion brake stuff will out perform a properly set up 11"x3" lockheed brake set.

I build these lockheed sets quite often (I have a set on each of my drivers which both are set up to pull 7500lbs. Of trailer). No, you can't buy replacement shoes anywhere for 'em, that is why we keep proper shoes on hand that are relines using riveted band material only. And we're always looking to find the proper brake shoe cores to add to our collection.

Hardware kits are not available, but individual parts are no problem to find along with new wheel cylinders.

Keeping the drum setup sounds good to me. The only missing pieces are the self adjusters on one side. Think I'll post an add looking for a spindle and some drums.
