11 Inch Rear Drum Scout 80 Spec

Well I ran out of time and have the mechanic working on my '62 Scout 80.
It has 10" drums in the front & 11" in the rear.
He said the rear drum measures out at 11.09, can those still be turned? I could not find it in the service manual.

Take the drums to your local friction materials shop and they will make a determination regarding the drum diameter and what is acceptable. And that information will also be used in deciding which type of friction material can/will be installed on the shoes.

Issues such as this are huge in the "brake business" today. Major liability concerns have really impacted this type of service work.

A friction shop will have correct proprietary data regarding all brake drums ever manufactured.
