Default Transfer Case Swap

I have '74 Scout II with an amc 258, 3 speed t15d warner transmission & a single speed, chain drive transfer case, IH #13143. Would love to swap the transfer case with a 2-speed. I have a Dana 20, 2-speed transfer case from a '78 Scout II that had an automatic transmission & an IH 304. Do I need to swap it for a Dana 20 from Jeep? I've seen some other posts from people had the same setup who weren't successful or never posted that they were able to make this work. Any ideas?
74 Scout II - 258, Restoration in progress
79 Scout II - 304, Camo paint, "Rusty"

Don't know about the t15ds, but if your current bell housing will bolt up to a Scout t19, that would be the way to go.
1975 Scout II healthy 258, Wide T19 , 4:1 D300 3:54s,
1972 Real clean stock Scout II P/S, P/B, 345, T18, 3:73s
1969 Mach I. Balanced ported 351W, 650 double pumper, Super T10, Detroit locker with 4.11s. Lowered with racing springs, bars, Konis etc.
(Don't worry about getting arrested when I drive the Scouts).
