Default Bought Another S80

Found it on cl and just went to look at it for giggles and grins on Tuesday. It was a great price and I couldnt pass it up.

went today and got her, the owner knew the orginal owner/purchaser and all the strange mods that are done to it were done at an IH dealer, but there's no paperwork to prove it. It has a 266 v8 with a short bellhousing, t90, d18, warn o/d, 4 springs on the trac-lock rear d27 wih coil-overs, 3 fuel tanks, and a potable water tank. It hasnt run in awhile, so the first thing is to get her running/driving and then see what needs to be done to get her to dd status.

Paging dr. Booney, paging dr. Booney.... the 4 leaf spring packs in the rear and 11 leaf pack in the front must make that thing ride like a dump truck! It looks like a pretty straight 61/62 Scout though. Once it is cleaned up it would be interesting to see what was all done to this truck as someone put a lot of $$$ into it many moons ago.

Man, that thing must ride like a hay wagon!!!! Looks like most of the work will be cosmetic, I bet it's gonna be fun.

We'll see....I have to clean the tanks out and remove about 400 pounds of insulation that has been added to it. The whole inside of the top and alot of the interior is carpeted. No brakes or clutch, need to rebuild the carb and scrape alot of stuff off the thing.

Should be fun!
