Default Front Bucket Seats

I know this topic has had some mileage on it, but was looking to see if there are any updated comments.

I have a 77 SII, 196, T-19, D20, D44 front and back, 2 " lift and 31's. Basically stock. I have a pair of 79 stock SII high back buckets in right now, but am looking for a more comfortable seat.

I read before where someone threw in some seats out of a late model GTO. Anyone have any newer suggestions on buckets? The high back's that I have in there right now are a bit "dated" as they have no side to side snug. Looking for seats that have the raised sides of the seat (if I am saying it correctly).

Any suggestions would help. Thanks,

Default Re: Front Bucket Seats

Corbeau makes seats and makes transition brackets for the Scout bases.

Anything else will need custom fab to make the sliders work to the stock bases.

I used 06' cobalt SS seats (same as impala) and the sliders are about 3" wider than the stock bases. I cut the bases down 2" and made a 2" angle iron frame to bolt the sliders to after I cut all the stock gm mounts off the sliders.

You can make anything work go to the junk yard and find some seats you like.
