Close and narrow are just different ways of saying the same thing. If you want a tranny with a granny you'll need a wide ratio one.

Was this out of one of your own vehicles? Do you know much about it as far as mileage and how it shifted? Is it still without the bell housing and bull gear? Do you have the Dana 20 t/c that was with it? Thanks

It is out of my own personal vehicle. The only reason I pulled this tranny is because I opted for an nv4500. It has about 100k miles and shifts and drives like new.

It is from a 1980 model had a Dana 300 mounted to it, that's why the bull gear is missing. I will include a diesel bellhousing.

I might have access to a gas bellhousing and Dana 20 if you are interested. Shoot me a pm.

Yes I am very interested in that. What is the difference between a Dana 300 and a Dana 20? I am familiar with the d20, but not the 300. Is the bull gear the large gear on the output shaft?

It's a close (narrow) ratio 4:1 not 6.32:1 first gear.
