Default Reverse Light Switch Location

Hi everyone, I'm having trouble finding the reverse light switch for my pickup, I have a 1966 1100A. I've traced the wire from the reverse light assembly back to the ignition switch, but I can't find the switch that completes the circuit.

I'm pretty sure I have a T-19 4-speed transmission, but no where on either frame rail is a wire, whether loose or in a bundle/harness, anywhere near the transmission. I thought the switch would be mounted on the transmission, but now i'm not so sure. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Try looking on the top cover towards the rear on the drivers side.
