Hi mm,
please let me know if you have sent my carburetor back and how I can pay for the work.

Thanks.

I've had a lot of trouble with your carb wayne. And on top of that I've spent some time recently in the hospital.

But I will get it done and shipped as soon as I can. The fuel bowl is now repaired correctly.

Hi mm,
sorry to hear about your health issues. We are getting that age where all the gears need lube now and then. I hope you are all well now.

Take your time and don't work too hard.

By the way, do you know if there is another rebuilt tq carb that I can buy and keep as spare? Or do I need one?

Take care,
wayne

Hi wayne,
mm had another round of the same stuff just a week or so ago. He has been limited to what he can do. Do you have another way to contact him? If not maybe I can send one to you in a pm.

Michael mayben

I enjoyed reading your posts regarding the cartertq rebuilds. I thought I had someone here locally that could rebuild mine but now after reading your posts I'm scared to death to let him just "have at it". Mine is from my 1981 dodge d250 truck, 360, 5.9. I have looked and looked for the serial number on the carb but I have never found it. Rear left base of the unit?? Anyways are you still rebuilding them? Whats your work load these days? How long might it take to get you to do it? How best to contact you? Feel free to email me here and I'll reply. If anyone else has any answers I'm all ears. I am a new member to this website first post. Truck is in great shape not abused 48,000 original miles. Carb looks to be in good shape but leaks, and very difficult to restart when hot. Cold starts are not an issue.

Hi john. Obviously, I'm not michael, but I didn't want you to feel ignored. Michael has been out of state attending to family matters for the past couple months. Last I heard, he is set to return home pretty soon. No doubt he will have quite a backlog of things to catch up on after he takes some time to settle in. I would encourage you to check in here once a week and scan a few forum sections for fresh mayben tracks and then give him another shout out then.

Scout

thank you for the reply. I'll keep checking back and try to make contact. I'm working on the truck and the carburetor has been a concern. Just want to make sure it gets rebuilt correctly.

Thanx

Hi wayne,
I think michael is hanging low to get things taken care of on the farm. I had a long conversation with him about the time maybenville was happening. He had a lot of customer work to clean up so until that gets done he'll stay off line. He monitors ihon often so maybe he will chime in if it is a desperate situation.
