Awesome, I'm speechless. One question to paul though. It is obvious that you use your Scout, alot. It is also obvious that it is not a trailer queen. That being said, I read where it was weighing in at over 6k. What kind of mileage are you getting on the highway with the FI and the 700r4? Also, what size tire are you currently running, and what gears did you end up with in the diffs? Great build, and awesome work Jeff and Darren!

B & b, the Scout gets an average of 9 mpg maybe 10 on the highway. That's running 37 inch tires with 4.88's in the diffs. I'd guess I could get an honest 10 mpg on a regular basis but I'm usually pretty heavy on the right foot driving down the highway.

Lol I know its gray and white. Is it a oem color or a cutom color? If so, white shade of gray is it? A paint code would be great if posable.

I looked it up and it should be embassy gray #8547. This color was a factory color for either 79' or 80'(possibly 78' as well but I don't have a color chart for 78').

They are wilwood brand brakes. Sorry no part numbers as we did this many years ago. If this is something you want to purchase I'm sure we can research it and sell you the same parts.

Well after 18 years, 2 continents, a dozen countries I finally did it. Only took one off camber, mud slick log and a tree that had an obvious record of imparting damage onto sheetmetal to break a long streak of keeping my panels in tact.

Jeff, Chad, Darren, michael...I'll be visiting later this year for some of your superb craftsmanship skills.

Paul,

where about did the sheet-metal carnage occur? I see lots of hemlock/fir and vine maple in the background, so I'm assuming it was close to home in washington?

Would it have been feasible to build it so the tires didn't stick out so much?

If we could have made it narrower we would have but with these certain axle and suspension parts that is the narrowest we could make it and still have everything work perfectly.
