Default IH Freezer (1948 - 1952) $50 OBO

Yes it works, yes it is old and rusty like most things IH, no it does not have self-defrosting, no it is not "efficient" to run. No they don't make them anymore.

For sale locally will not ship, May negotiate possible transport to Sierra Fall Rallye

looking to get this into a collectors hands who will take better care of it than I.

Cheers,
Craig

I know doc is heading this way in about a week or so. If he will or can haul it up here for me I'll take it(not that I need another one).

Does it come with the hubcaps? How you gonna shrink your diff. Carriers and get the ring gears on now?

Hub caps are from a 1957 chrysler and there May be a few 57 desoto hub caps mixed in as well... Don't think they will fit a Scout.

I'll use the regular freezer for the ring gear... Don't need the stand-up walk in freezer for that lol

as for cost... I'm sure we can work something out that is quite agreeable for both of us, perhaps a small ($50 or $25 or?) gift certificate to IH Parts America?

Heck after you see it I might owe you lol (it isn't that bad, but it certainly isn't a show piece).

Thanks cheese! I can officially say that I own an upright IH freezer, two IH chest freezers and two IH fridge/freezer combos.

Wow... That got there quick, we just loaded it up on Wednesday. I'm glad it made it there safe and too a good home! I did plug it in before it got picked up and it runs perfectly frozen cold still so while not pretty it works well! I'm now down to one IH fridge / freezer combo and it is a small rarely seen (I've never seen another one anyway) efficiency fridge IH made in canada.

Cheers,
cheese

So I hauled it to Grass Valley in my 67 1300 service truck with the very shaky engine. Unloaded the freezer and my truck won't start. What better place to die than ihparts america??
Points burnt. Jeff had a new set and put them in for me.
Picked up a load of parts. Got home intact. Gotta put that new engine in that beast!

I'm glad you made it up and back safely... You are a brave man doc! I also hope the points helped it run a little better, definitely time for that new motor!
