Default Correct temperature sensor for AMC 232?

1971 Scout 800 W/ AMC 232

Which of these temperature sensors are correct for the AMC 232 engine? I just replaced the temp gauge with ISSPRO 100-240, and the unit on the engine now does not seem to have the correct resistance values, and reads much hotter that is the case.

Thanks,

Evan,

If you have the factory gauges, then you will need this sending unit: https://www.ihpartsamerica.com/store/SL407254C1.html

It is 1/4 NPT so if you need 3/8 NPT, then you can purchase a reducer NPT fitting at your local hardware store.

Thanks.

No, this is not for a stock gauge. This is for an ISSPRO gauge that registers between 100-240. So part ISS-WTRTEMPSNDR would seem to be the correct one for this application.

For that part, there seem to be several thread choices.

Can you snap a picture of your current temp sending unit? That way we can size what thread size it is and recommend the proper part.

Looks like you need the 1/8" NPT size sending unit.
