Default 72 Scout II 304 Thermostat Recommendations & Housing Size

Good Day,

I've seen a lot of recommendations for thermostats mainly Robert Shaw 370-180 which is supposedly the Mr. Gasket 4367 but I've also seen recommended MG 4364. They are both 180 degree but the 4367 has a 2.480in Dia and the 4364 is 2.120in Dia.

My question is which is the correct Diameter for my 304 and does anyone have any other recommendations for thermostats. Additionally do you have any recommendations for a thermostat housing gasket.

Thanks in advance,
Sam

I'm guessing you don't realize this website is part of a huge online store. Here is the link to buy the correct thermostat and gasket. Thermostat is USA made, not China junk like the Mr. Gasket brand.

Robertshaw Thermostat for IH International Harvester 152, 196, 266, 304, 345 or 392 Engine
