Default 72 Ole Yeller

Well, since I started doing some wrenching on this 72 Scout II, I figured I just might keep it and start up this build thread. I have been eye balling this thing for about 10 years before I got ahold of it, and never knew who owned it. The short version of story is that the guy who owned it stopped in front of my man cave and we got to talking. And he towed it down here only to find out the transmission has gone sour. No forward gears what so ever. But, reverse worked just fine. The 304 ran great but couldn't actually drive it due to a funked up trans, and I aint driving it backwards around town lol

This is after a bath the weekend I paid $500 it. No top and missing passenger seat. And the driver seat was so beat to crap that the spring cushions poked ya in the but when ya sit in it.

as a side note, the typical p.o. Hack work seems to be limited so far in comparison of what I have seen in other rigs. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that some one did a Dana 44(with discs) axle swap into this ole yeller. Also a new rear drive shaft has bee installed. The front drive shaft appears to be oem stock. There is also a 1.5" body lift. It's also rolling on 33"x12.5x15 shoes. And what appears to be stock leafs.
