Re: New 2300 carb questions

Hi,
I found where Michael Mayben had a lot to say about this power valve modulator. He called it an unregulated vacuum leak and his advice: plug it! I understand as it provides a direct path for...

Re: New 2300 carb questions

hi,
As an update, I ordered the two jets as NOS by IH part number. It turns out they are stamped 522 on each jet. I assume that's fractionally larger than a 52 jet.

I also ordered a new NOS...

Re: New 2300 carb questions

Thank you both.

I intend to replace the power valve. The one in there now could be 40 plus years old. And even if it works ok now, I don't expect it will last long once put back into service.

Re: New 2300 carb questions

FDChappie, thanks. Great info and a goal to shoot for - a 392 in a truck that gets 14mgp! I don't recall, is a T-36 an overdrive? What r&p gear and tire size do you run? And is it 4wd?
I hope in...
