the wires that actually plug into the back of the headlight (the low beam and high beam wires) , you pulled them, plugged them into the relay, and then from the relay you used 10 ga. wire...

Question: does the 4cyl take the same ignition coil as the 8 cyl? or is there a difference (i.e. resistance?)

negative battery cable to engine block, then a same gauge cable from block to body, then a similar gauge cable from body to frame. That should complete a good grounded circuit.
