so these leaf springs in a 4" lift w/a reverse shackle (which I have already) would produce a better ride than going SOA w/stock 35+ year old springs.

Ah ha!
Ya, the reverse shackle kit comes w/frame bushings that has a sleeve protruding from the bushing but my shackle/spring bushings don't.
So the frame bushings I can torque to whatever but...

The springs came from my first Scout and I don't know who's they are or how much lift and that was about 20 years ago. This truck has been sitting in my warehouse waiting...

Nope, no 10" shackles, they are 5" from bolt to bolt.
I'm going to get a reverse shackle kit and leave everything else alone and see how it drives. I will of course check the caster and shoot for...
