Re: IHC Customs cage dash plates

I might have an ihc customs cage - certainly pieces were inspired.

You have to zoom in to see the detail of the a pillar plate everyone is talking about.

Re: lets talk options for travelette

Least hassle approach is to find a 73-87/91 3/4t Chevy 4x4.

Swap the axles.

Change the draglink to adapt to the Chevy "horseshoe" for steering.

New brake lines, and a disc/drum master...

Re: Long pushrod source

9.850" pushrods installed. Sourced from summitracing - tfs-21419850-8. $63.95 for a set of 8.

Cured most of the noise.

I did hear something still, but after removing the original valve...

Re: Long pushrod source

Well, today's news is a mixed bag.

I got the longer pushrods from carquest. Unfortunately, the bag was marked "9.000" which I thought was short, but about right for a longer-than-stock 304...

Re: I-4 and SV Engine Non-Oiling Rocker Assembly

Any information on the IH adjustable rocker arms to add, mayben? They were used on palmer marine spec IH 392s.

Are these the same as the set Isa Ismail is rumored to have?

Re: Long pushrod source

Thanks, Robert.

I'm going to have to keep them in mind - I should get some shorter pushrods for my race engine project, and maybe those tapered units would be a good way to go.

I decked the...

Long pushrod source

I gave ihon a call yesterday in pursuit of some longer pushrods, and was directed to post here.. :)

I have a 196 I built. The boat rockers have plenty of oil (each "boat" was full), the lifters...

Re: The Ultimate IH Fourbanger

I believe ricky bordelon, of light line of louisiana is in possession of the aluminum valve cover molds that jim maulis jr had for sv engines.

There are a few sets floating around, but ricky has...

Re: SII Heater Cores

Thanks, Jeff!

So anyone looking to upgrade their Scout II heater output should look to acquire the curved-fitting heater core from IH only and either install it in the early heater box, or...

Re: I-4 and SV Engine Non-Oiling Rocker Assembly

You need to make sure the 5/16" washers are "narrow"/small od. The regular gr8 washers I bought from the hardware store are too large and run the risk of catching the rocker arm.

Be careful....

Re: 69-75 pickup tailgte differences

The photos just show trim changes. If you remove the chrome insert, you should find the stamped International tailgate under it.

69-73 tailgates for the bonus-load/fleetside boxes are the same,...

Re: 34 Hot Rod Pickup

It'll run darn good.

hear it run on youtube (www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecqqc5lojwg)

It had less blingy chrome then, just a 500cfm 2bbl, and no roller-tip-rockers, but you can hear it at 6300rpm...

Re: The Ultimate IH Fourbanger

So.. What's the cost of a "new" 4cyl cam then? If you start with a sv blank ($35-ish or so, machined, when included in an engine kit from northern auto) and then have it welded up and turned down...
