What pressure rad cap are you using? Some are 7 some are 15/16 psi.

All coolant systems create pressure as the coolant heats up. Its physics.

Are you using water or a 50/50 mix of coolant?

Did you even check to see if there is oil in the transfer case?

These are know to leak oil like crazy.

Make sure when you do the number 5 bearing that you Dremel the oil relief in the bearing to match the block. This helps make sure the oil keeps flowing. I durabond bearings.

I hope the shop that did it will warranty a set of cam bearings and the associated work. That sucks.

That's why I did my own cam bearings just to make sure I got it right.

Delete the seals and lube the bearings with the gear oil. You will have to put more oil in the housing to fill the tubes. There is no difference in the axles.

Its def RTV and nothing you need tor worry about. The bulge is because the housing has a relief in those spots.

Left over sealant rtv from when the axle tube were pushed into the housings. Seen all the 44s I've pulled apart.
