If you have ever looked at a ring and pinion, you'll see that there is a drive side and coast side of the gear tooth interface. Drive side = low angle, coast = high angle. The high angle interface...

Re: The "Fuel Tank" Thread

IIRC the sender should read 0 ohms when full and 70 or 90 when empty. Read the sender from ground to the sender wire with your ohm meter. This should be the first thing to be the first thing to...

Re: Selection of Shocks/Unf@cking PO Bodge Jobs

It's normal for the shock to be the limiting factor in axle drop on OEM setups. Other considerations come into play like drive line and brake line limits.
If you need more shock travel that you can...

Re: Proper Clutch Identification

The larger protrusion, be it from the spline hub or the entire center section, goes towards the pressure plate.\

As for the paper board ring.... I have no idea. I guess it could be some type of...

Re: Oil "blow out" = Engine "Mis-Fire" ???

Only the mystery of the oil slick remains. I guess now you can run her and possibly track it down. 👍
Good job on getting her running well again.

Re: Engine power loss

Sounds a lot like fuel starvation. Check all of your fuel filters and if you can, verify fuel pressure at the carburetor fuel inlet.

Re: Oil "blow out" = Engine "Mis-Fire" ???

When the plug wires get bad, the coil usually is what ultimately dies. Since the wire resistance gets high, the plug is no longer the easiest path to ground, the windings in the coil are end the...

Re: Oil "blow out" = Engine "Mis-Fire" ???

To check fuel pressure, you would need to plumb a pressure gauge into the fuel line before the carb.

A little fuel in the oil is not an issue as it will simply cook off. if it was a bunch you...

Re: 152 no distributor spark

That is where the draft tube is supposed to go. Looks like some one cut it off. The draft tube hangs down towards the bottom of the engine so the leaked combustion gasses can exit the engine and not...

Re: 1965 D1100 4x4 driver/project
