Re: Hi- steer set up

1/16" overall toe in. So if you have 80" measuring across the two wheels at the back of the wheels, the front measurement should be 79 15/16".

Re: Hi- steer set up

Again, we generally set toe to 1/16" at the wheel regardless of tire size. So if you are using some other method to measure, your measurement may differ.

No comment on Ruff Stuffs part as we have...

Re: Hi- steer set up

I usually set my toe to 1/16” at the wheel (we use bare wheels with no tires mounted). You might want to add some more toe if that 1/16” is at the outer tire. Aside from that too much tire air...

Re: Clearance for tie rod?

Due to the thicker tubes in our CPT tierod kit we do recommend that caster shims be installed to bring the tierod up away from the springs. At a relaxed state there appears to be enough room, but...

Re: 71GreenScout

Those should be 6" wide wheels. Going to be a little narrow for a 11.50 wide tire but might fit a 10.50 wide.

Re: 71GreenScout

Either 6" or 7" with an 8" option. Your Line Set Ticket would say what wheels it came with. From there we cross reference in the parts book to see what width that particular wheel is.

Re: Correct temperature sensor for AMC 232?

Can you snap a picture of your current temp sending unit? That way we can size what thread size it is and recommend the proper part.

Re: 71GreenScout

Whether you get 15x8 or 15x10, make sure they have no more than 3.75" of backspacing. Backspacing in excess of 3.75" will cause the inner sidewall of the tire to rub the tierod ends. Once you buy...

Did you sneak in a Cummins R2.8 and not tell us or does Cummins simply like your Scout and decided to use it in their advertising?

Re: Scout II D-44 FA into an 800B with reverse shackle

You would have to re-install the reverse shackle kit in order to install Scout II leafsprings. Since you already have the CPT reverse shackle and lift kit installed, I would keep them and modify the...

Re: Partsmike Hi Steer kit included in your SOA kit.

Shorter arms! The longer 2 hole arms have a tendency to interfere with the shorter, arched leafsprings of a Scout II so that is the main reason why we go with the inverted Tee set up.

When...

Re: Scout 800 CPT reverse shackle - nervous installer

Position 2 would be considered front of the frame. Yes V8 and 4cyl frames do have some differences in them.

Re: Scout 800 CPT reverse shackle - nervous installer

That was from a V8. 4cyl should be similar or move the hole forward a tad to say 7 1/2" from the body mount, instead of 7 5/16".

Re: Scout 800 CPT reverse shackle - nervous installer

Yes it is possible that the front might sit higher but it will depend on your installation. If it does we normally level the vehicle with a shackle adjustment in the rear.

Although we do not have...
