Hi there! I am selling my grandpapa's restored car as a tribute to his passing. Do you have any guidance on how you sold your daughters scout? My uncle and I just restored a 1979 Scout II Harvester International Traveler with a beautiful Sunset Pearl Orange. Thank you!!

    Hi Dirty Ol' Scout,

I have my beautiful late daughters Scout which I am attempting to get ready for sale.
It is a 1977 IH Scout II with a 304 V-8. I desperately need help in knowing how to lube
the transfer case. I have the original owners manual which shows the 2 points@17 & #18 where lube occurs. Are these the places where they suggest using a multipurpose grease?
Does the Dexron Auto Transmission fluid go into the regular transmission reservoir?

Where do you put the recommended SAE-90 for 0 degrees and up?

I hope these questions are not too ridiculous to answer. My daughter was a single Mom.
The proceeds from the sale of her Scout will go toward the care of her son. Thank you for any assistance you may be able to offer. If you cannot answer my queries, is there
some free website that can answer questions regarding Scouts? Also, are there any websites that would be good to advertise a great and well taken care of Scout II?

Hi everyone, I am new to this so let me know if im doing anything wrong. I have a 1970 scout 800a with a 196 engine. I have taken the body off the frame and started my restoration journey. This is the first body off resto that i have done. I am wanting to put a new suspension lift kit on the frame but the PO has put a spring over axle lift on it. I am looking at getting the CPT suspension lift kit from IH Parts Amer. but want to know if it should be compatible without too much refab work. I am ok with a welder but am not confident that my skills would be sufficient to relocate the leaf spring hangers if necessary. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.
