![]() Well I'm just about done with my Scout 2 build and we'll as most of you now u just can't have one so. I found this today for $500 she needs work yes but it's going to be a gift for my wife/reason to keep building scouts. So the low down.... I have no clue of the year and yea it's missing some parts but it's a Scout 800a aristocrat.

![]() Amc 232 I-6 engine. Ihc's 6 cylinder engines were too big and ancient to be viable for the Scout platform. Solution...buy engines from your direct competitor to provide a 6 cylinder option.

![]() A wife who loves scouts - what a find!
What are your plans, resto or mod? You could stay with six in a row; rebuild the original, 258 or even a 4.0 - but that one would require a 'puter.

![]() My wife, who went on her honeymoon in our Scout in 1985, is looking at your find and giving me that look of don't do that for me. Your wife must have a lot of faith in you.
So how do you know if you're a redneck? You're out weed whacking and you find a car you forgot about. :-} please share pics of the restoration, or keep your buddy around. Hey, your just over the hill, I'm in hopland. Howdy neighbor.

![]() I do get over there often. I see you're a diesel fan, here's the one that runs our off-grid home when the sun does not shine.
