Default 1962 scout 80. Finally under way

Well people I figure ill start a thread and keep track of my build.

Just bought my CPT 80/800 lift and I couldn't be happier ..... And she needs it badly. As of now shes my daily and my leafs are so worn and flat that I keep blowing shocks and bouncing down the road each day just pains me. She drives great otherwise and there isn't one gas station , carwash, or parking lot someone doesn't yell out. Hey is that a Scout...... I still feel. Drive the oldest care daly in my town.....gotta love it....

I also ordered some new h4 headlights conversion witch will be nice. So many things to do. Well start here.

Thanks guys at IH america for being very knowledgeable and always being on point.

Merica!

Robert

here she sits just back from the wash rack

long live the Scout .

Well the lift is compleat. I am really happy she sits a lill taller ,I am very pleased. I cant wait to get her out on the trail. Its a night and day diffrecne from what it was. Nearly every old spring fell apart and all the shocks from the prevous owner were blown.......shakes head. Finaly gave the tlc. Went on pritty easy for a 50 year old truck.

Thanks IH only great kit

Sean builds nice quality bumpers, but you will need to keep on him to get it done. I ordered front and rear plus rock sliders. He quoted me 2 months to build, it took him 7 months to deliver. I had to keep on him for the last 5 months. When everything arrived I was still missing hardware for the rear bumper, a high-lift jack, and 2 rotopax and mounts I ordered from him. It took countless phone calls. He did make good on everything except 1 of the 2 rotopax. I finally gave up. Out the money for the last roto-pax, well worth not fighting any longer.

Don't get me wrong, he is a good guy he just seems like he needs help with the business side. That is just my 2 cents.

The quality really is nice, great workmanship.

Side note, I am finding there are a lot of people and businesses that just do not deliver on their promises. We no longer live in a world were a persons word is gold. People take what they can get and screw everything else. So far in my build I have found IH Parts America, and dan's drive-line in vegas to be the only 2 businesses out of many to be trustworthy. Hell, even my painter, who is a friend of a friend, tried to screw me! I just don't get it. Sorry to ramble, I digress. It is just frustrating to live in that kind of world, especially when my word is everything to me.
