Nice. Thank you for serving to protect us. No big deal about it. I didn't mean to make it sound mean to the pos. Just typing lol. Like I said in the post we left some of those marks dents and what not like a battle wound. No big deal nothing a little cutting welding and what not couldent fix. I knew what I was getting into when I bought it. You mentioned the gold engine is there anything you can tell me about it? ( rebuild freshened up?). Would you have any pictures of back in the day?? What are you up to now? Are you in the pacific nw?

This Scout is now for sale. The wife took it off road and was following me in my Jeep and she dose not like how big the rig is. It is too much rig for what she wants. Pm if have any questions. It can come with old original parts (seat frames, fuel tanks, steering box, points set up for distributor, reverse lights, old oil filter adaptor(has Scout II on it now), mechanical fuel pump.)

asking $6500.00 obo

So it is sold to a gentleman from seattle area. It looks like he is going to take good care of it and take it even further in the restorations.

So it looks like I am responding a bit late on this, but as far as the motor goes... I warped the heads due to the radiator giving way on a trail ride. This provoked gaskets top to bottom, freeze plugs etc. And a new set of timing gears when it was out. The axles were from a u-pull-it donor Jeep pickup chosen slowly for the compatible yokes. The electric fuel pump was a by product of not being able to find a replacement oem mechanical pump. And the on off switch was a temporary solution to the previously (and likely still) existing electrical/wiring headache on it.
