Default Shackle Questions

With this kit stock replacement shackle plate for 1971-80' Scout II, terra or traveler I am getting the 6 plates, then have to add the right and left plate for the sway bar?

The second question is, with the 5" plates the 4 degree shims are recommended. If my rusty memory is right, then 1980 front axle has 2 degrees of caster already in it. Would I still need the shims?

Thanks!

The stock plates are all separately purchased and much more expensive to buy than our CPT ones. To order those correctly you have to put 6 plates at $12 each in your basket, then add the left and right swaybar plates at $26 each for a total of $124 to replace all the stock shackles.

If you have a 1980 Scout and are running stock springs then I would only add in 2 degree shims which we do sell separately.

Sorry, what I meant was the stock shackle plates we sell(supplied by SLL) are much more expensive to buy than our lift style CPT shackle plates. We don't make a stock shackle plate under the CPT name. Hope that makes better sense.
