We (wife, Dad, and I) are all packed and ready. We will be meeting at the fresh pond gas station (chevron I believe) at 7:30 am and then on to the loon trailhead, probably be there about 8:30 or 9am.

It looks like I'm the first one to post since we got back. It was a great time and we only had a few issues. One bent tie rod, one leaking power steering box, one busted box, one cracked leaf spring, one leaking tire bead, one broken hood latch. Not too bad considering. Sorry I don't have any action shots. Too busy behind the wheel. Craig did show up on his honda, but left before we could get him in the group pictures.

I had to leave early as I knew it was going to be hot and grueling. After making in without falling, I fell several times on the way out. Gyood thing I wear lots of plastic protection. I watched someone roll on the slabs that was right in front of me. No one got hurt.

I pushed myself to get to the picnic bench at 1000 hill. I drank a bottle of water and rested.
From there I found I had to stop more often drink some water and keep going.
I just had to think you need to make it to x and then rest. Some parts of the trail I was dreading, but got through without any issues. Which kept my spirits up.

Took 3+ hours to get to loon.

I was sore from the ride in, and now double sore from the ride out.

Friday night was a blast with al the night action
glad I made .

Edit: benny found a new favorite friend that will read to him
ever time she went to her tent or anywhere, benny would ask Dad where is lordus

thanks Matt for sharing your tent.
Mike / michael / jess / sean for the food and drink.

Great trip! Had a fun time wheeling and hanging out with everybody. Friday night was insane at buck . Jesse, was nice having your Dad with us, really enjoyed talking with him. Loved that we didn't have too many trail issue. Glad my Scout waited until we got back to loon to have a problem. Didn't want to drive it back to sac with a cracked ps box, and since I was only 92 miles from home had aaa give me and the Scout a ride into town. That flat bed was nice on the both of us . Might just call them next year even if I don't have a problem.

Cool to see a couple other scouts on the trail that weren't with us. Guess one of them was lucky we were there since they needed a spare starter.

I have the phone number for the guy who grabbed your starter if need be..... had a great time, just a cut sidewall for me. Even managed some night wheeling on the way in Friday night. Will upload some pics later.

Good times.

I had a great time.

No major carnage, just a few little things to address before my next run (leaking axle seal & a crack to weld on my front bumper from hitting something..)

thanks to all for letting me tag along.
It was great to meet Jesse (& fam), along with michael m/bill. Plus hanging out with Matt, sean (& the little guy), plus that mad biker dude Craig.

Michael, can you pm me bill's email? I'd like to get copies of the videos/pics he shot.

Here are some of my pictures:

Hey Jesse, this might have been what we heard Friday. Saw it on the marlin crawler website. Guy got out of his rig to get something out of the back while on cadillac hill and it came out of gear. Luckily no one was hurt but the Jeep sure took a beating

Wow, pretty awful. I don't know if we would have heard that at buck, but maybe. I do remember the crashing and scraping on Friday.
