Default Fordyce 1/24

Jeff and I are planning to run fordyce this Saturday 1/24 starting 8-9ish. Probably up to committee and out. If we are making really good time then will go through to meadow lake. If anybody is interested in going post up.

The gate pm rattlesnake road at cisco grove cg is closed. So you can't go out via committee.

Also, sunshine hill the area that with the off-camber section with a sharp drop on the ds going in from eagle lakes is very icy.

This was taken last week.

Well we had one hell of a trip to say the least. Body damage and many broken parts. My list of damage on my white Scout includes body, lf axle ujoint, alternator, both locking hubs, missing/loose crossmember bolts, smashed muffler and dinged up rear driveshaft plus some weird fuel injection issue which I think is the ignition module going out. Michael broke a shock and worst of all broke his transfer case in half. After trying for a couple hours to get michael's Scout towed/winched out of there we had to leave it behind. We barely make it out of there in my Scout on Saturday night with three wheel drive and a dying battery. Huge props to my optima battery for doing all that winching and still getting me home on a dead alternator. Anyway we made repairs to my Scout that night and early Sunday morning and headed back up with parts. Darren met us up at cisco grove campground to help with repairs and with the blessing of the forest service (who were totally cool about it) opened up the gate so we could get up there from the easy side. Here are a few pictures from the two days run.

Wow, and to think I almost went with you guys.

what kind of case did michael break, is that an 18? Did he break it while getting air, or when he came back down?

Dana 18 guts in a 20 case. Front driveshaft bound up causing the breakage.
