We tried the full floating kit but honestly with little to no demand we aborted that part and no longer offer it. We do offer for the stock replacement aluminum radiator a shouldered bolt with a heavy grommet to support the radiator. This still allows some flex. Cost for four shouldered bolts, washers and grommets is $10.

Jeff,

are you guys not carrying or sell the aluminum radiators anymore? I swear I saw them on the site before but now all I see is a single diesel radiator.

Thanks
-Mark

As posted earlier these are not listed online. Please call to order. Current pricing(subject to change at any time) is $499.95 plus shipping. Add $50 if for an automatic and need the built in cooler.

Thanks Jeff. I keep eating radiators in the racer for random reasons and I'm running out of "spares" :d

I May need to go this route if this keeps up, just trying to figure out how much to budget.

Sorry for the bad luck. I'll call the manufacturer and see what it will cost to recore. Get rid of that flex fan as they are crap.

I can't go play either as my ride with a fairly brand new engine blew a head gasket. Double check your motor, transmission and body mounts as any of those under extreme circumstances can cause enough flex that things will collide.

Bummer on the radiator damage. When we were on the rubicon a few years back, a guy had what looked like a simple grill on the back side of the radiator to prevent this type of fan damage.

One of the nice things about a thermostatic fan clutch is the clutch. It will allow the fan to stop spinning, or spin much slower, in deep water or heavy rain. I replaced my big nut water pump with a 4 bolt one and run a Chevy clutch and fan blade. Works great! Pulled an 18' rv trailer out of death valley with the Scout 2 summers ago with no problems either.

Aluminum radiators for the Scout 80/800 are currently in development for both the 4cyl and v8 engines and should be available hopefully within the next 60 days. Currently we have available to us aluminum radiators for the 41'-49' truck, 51'-57' truck and the Scout II. Just yesterday we received from our newest radiator supplier an aluminum Scout II radiator. It looks every bit as good as our current supplier but the retail pricing will be $100 less than what we currently sell our aluminum radiators at which also puts them price wise under the retail cost for a copper/brass radiator.
