Is the turning radius reduced much by going full width or is it actually determined more by the tire width? What width are those axles and how far do the tires stick out? I am thinking of going to a 14 bolt ff rear axle or a Dana 60 ff if I can find one cheap enough. Until then I might put a locker in one of the axles I just don't know which one yet.

If there is enough interest we can have our in house sticker guru make these.

We'll put it on the list of future items to make. Thanks for the input.

Did he want the tires to stick out that much?? I have full width 60s under my terra with rims that have a lot of backspacing and barley 1/4 of my 37x12.50s stick out, if I use factory flares it'd cover all but an inch or so. Looks good,I like the cage and sliders. On my front 60 I just oblinged the centerpin bolt holes and it bolted right in.

I wanted to use my 15" tires, so needed rims with a reverse 2.75" backspacing to fit on the 3/4 ton axles. As it sits, from the outsides of the tires it's 90" wide. After wheeling it like this the added stability in offcamber situations is great. I've been through some pucker factor situations in my 74 Scout that this one rolls right through with no concerns at all.

Jeff how is the long travel drive drive shaft holding up do you know? I'm currently doing almost the same SOA axle swap on my Scout and when I look at the distance and the angle I don't see a long travel holding up.

So what I think I'm trying to ask is it just not worth the extra work and fab time to put a cv drive shaft up front, because a long travel works just fine?

As far as I know Matt has had no issues with the front long travel shaft. Cv shafts are great for longer length shafts however they are tough to use on the front of a Scout II due to the short length and higher driveline angle. Really we go with cv's anytime angle will allow as well as transmission clearance. Most 727's allow little to no clearance for a cv type shaft.

I did get a copy over to my buddy Mike who does stickers but have yet to see anything on them. Still waiting myself.

This is a simple question. When you install a Chevy full width front Dana 44 on a Scout II you said the front spring perches are about a 1/2 inch off from lining up. Do you just move the drivers side perch over or how do you get it to match up with the Scout II springs? Thanks
