It was mentioned in mt first post cuz I have one. A dvom and a very very old analog unit. Once upon a time there was a specific reason why I bought the analog unit, but now, I can't remember why.

You'll need a decent set of drill bits in a box thats sized so you can see exactly what you lose or break. The hf ones are ok well the gold ones if you take care of em and dont speed burn em.
Dont know bout where you live but the estate sale gammit is the best place to find quality tools at cheap prices. And you will run across all kinda weird snizz that you can find some kinda use for. Plus you can try and talk hotwife into going, that way you can make up for that quality time you lose with her working on you junk iron

Vac gauge-yes

lighter? Probably not a good idea for me. Would make it to easy for me to torch the Scout when I get frustrated....

If you're into the yard/garage sale thing. Maybe keep an eye out for a tap and die set as well as a thread restorer kit, depending on the condition of the rig you are working on. May not be used often but having them on the shelf sure is handy from time to time.

Just found this post, my buddy and I just bought an old sun engine analyzer on ebay. Works fine and we only paid $130.00 for it. I picked it up on my way into western kentucky so there was no freight.

A 60-80 drill set is excellent for the holly one barrel rebuild. Available at most model/hobby shops or websites.

oh yeah! I have a rolled up rubber nat for that. Excellent for wet, snow, mud etc...

There's some special tools needed for taking apart the front wheel bearings on a Scout. One is a tiny allen head, if you don't know it's there you damage stuff. Need to wipe away grease and use a flashlight to find it. Then loosen it and you still need a special socket to remove the nut. Or you can use a center punch/alignment tool but risk some damage to nut!

Several years ago my wife bought me a snap on floor creeper. Some of my most pleasant afternoons have been spent on that creeper, under the Scout, (on 2 ton jack stands) gently dozing.
