Re: 1964 Travelall and 1967 Travelette All Wheel Drive's

So now you have new rear drums that appear to be wider than the originals.

What did you use and how did you get them to fit?

I saw one picture of the drum with some extra holes drilled for the...

Re: 1964 Travelall and 1967 Travelette All Wheel Drive's

WOW! That sure is pretty.

Where did you find it and how much did it set you back?

More importantly, it appears to be an 8-lug drum you have machined to become a big 6-lug.

How did that work...

Re: 1964 Travelall and 1967 Travelette All Wheel Drive's

Why not try doing a disc brake swap for the rear as well?

It couldn't cost that much more than finding NOS brake drums or putting in a sleeve in your current drums.

Re: 1964 Travelall and 1967 Travelette All Wheel Drive's

Wow, that looks really GREAT!

I wouldn't mind having a set to update my D1200 T-all!

Unfortunately, unless you were paying me to do some beta testing I can't afford any sort of bling like that...

Re: 1964 Travelall and 1967 Travelette All Wheel Drive's

I don't know what I was saying above. It must have been late or I had a brain fart.

What I meant to say is I like the closed knuckle. Both for the simplicity of design and the fact it keeps...

Re: 1964 Travelall and 1967 Travelette All Wheel Drive's

My D1200 has the closed knuckle.

I actually prefer them to the closed knuckle. Simple is never a bad thing.

Re: 1964 Travelall and 1967 Travelette All Wheel Drive's

I like the way in which you think!

Outside of the difficulty in finding tubeless wheels (Stockton Wheel still has them in stock) and the near impossible search with impossible prices for brake...

Re: 1964 Travelall and 1967 Travelette All Wheel Drive's

WOW!

I am intrigued!

Talk about a cliff hanger.

Please don't leave us hanging too long though.

Re: Binder Bee 2015 needs new leadership

It is too late to do anything about it for this summer.

But I would be willing to help out getting this fun activity going again.

Being 100 miles away from Brooks, OR does make meeting in...

Re: Binder Bee 2015 needs new leadership

I think the Binder Bee is effectively dead unless and until someone steps up to head up the show.

As Lyle has said, it doesn't mean that whomever heads it up has to do everything. But someone...

Re: low end power on 446ci

The 446 is an mv.

The 549 is an lv.

Nothing in common between them at all.

Re: Binder Bee 2015 needs new leadership

I agree, what a bummer.

But without someone to lead the way it can't happen.

I wish I lived closer or I would have stepped up.

Re: Lots of basic carb questions

The carb on the loadstar is not the oem carb. The oem carb would have had a vacuum operated governor that would have operated the throttle plates.

Back in the day we retrofitted several loadstar...

Re: The Bus Chronicles

In regards to the tach, it has been so long since I have installed a tach I know I don't know which wire to access.

The gear drive tachs were nice but it is very easy to break the drive cable if...

From the pattern I would say you have 5th direct.

It has been so long since I have had to shift a shift bus I can't remember where the jumps were. Iirc with the 5th direct transmissions the big...

Re: The Bus Chronicles

It would appear as if you have found a pretty nice old 'binder bus with a carpenter body.

That vintage carpenter was about the best of the eastern built buses that ever made it to the left side...

Re: Elections Coming in September

What a bummer that life's reality has to get in the way of having fun!

I would be willing if the "center" of the club was closer to home. But it is an or based club and I live an hour from or...

Re: GWBB 2014 - Sponsor list

We always pack the tables--they don't weigh very much and store easily in the trailer.

The canopy lives in the trailer as well.

See you this weekend!

Re: 2014 Binder Bee

I made my reservation to camp Friday and Saturday night.

I won't be bringing the t-all this year.

Besides the fact the t-all doesn't have a/c, it would require having to readjust the hitch...

We will be showing up with the trailer Friday night.

I can put in our canopy and extra tables for you to use.
