1) under the valve cover as shown in the attached photo "V392", and
2) under the lower edge of the head, just above the block...

The Carter ThermoQuad uses the 5 1/8" diameter base opening air cleaner assembly.

Same as the Holley 4-barrel carbs and the GM QuadraJet.

I use a Plews Tools part number 72-163, 1/2" Distributor Wrench.
The drive end is 1/2" with 12 points.
Drive off-set is about 1", working height is about 10".

It works well on IH I-4 engines,...

The same size o-ring fits either engine: 304 & 345, also the 392 and 266.

Then add a dye to the oil and find the leak with an ultra-violet light.

Yes, you can pull the rear cam cover.
All it takes there is a gasket.

Speedi-Sleeve is the proper repair for your situation on the rear main seal.

Your GM style Voltage Regulator should have terminals labeled: F, 2, 3, 4.

Terminals F & 2 connect to the two prong connector that plugs into the alternator.

Terminal 3 should be a #10 gauge...

Throttle Cable - I would recommend a new cable assembly mfd. by Lokar.

Intake manifold plugs could be: 1/4" pipe thread or 3/8" pipe thread or 1/2" pipe thread, depending on position.

Timing the engine:
Open hood.
Attach timing light to battery + & - posts and attach to plug wire #8.
Start engine and allow to warm up to normal operating temp.
Adjust point dwell/gap to spec....

Hmmm. $3500 may be too much in my opinion.

1. 37" tires need Dana 60 axles, not Dana 30 & 44 with non-power drum brakes.
2. Missing front drive shaft - probable fitment & angle/vibration issue....
