The switch that connects to the radiator, is opened once the scout is up to temp. One could use any water port on the intake or tstat housing if need for smog verification. Unless you don't mind...

This is an odd one, the Scout has been parked for a while, figured I had bad gas. New gas and fuel filter. Runs fine at idle.
Fuel pressure at 12 psi which is right were I set it many years...

You can replace the input with another shaft

The ord box is pretty hard to look inside. The 1/2" oil fill plug is about your only option.
I have a bore scope and can look inside.

The transmission was rebuilt, ran fine for about 50...

now most diy guys are converting the IH dissy using mopar...
