Re: Ever add a pcv valve on a 152

Re: Ever add a pcv valve on a 152

Re: 1964 Travelall and 1967 Travelette All Wheel Drive's

I've posted what I am planning to post. All I can say is that it took a lot of time, engineering, and machining to put it together and if done incorrectly can lead to less than favorable outcomes. I...

Re: 1964 Travelall and 1967 Travelette All Wheel Drive's

All went well. Had the drum assemblies trued Saturday morning. I like driving it much more now. No more over spec thin drums. No more chasing the steering while braking hard. Nice hard smooth pedal....

Re: 1964 Travelall and 1967 Travelette All Wheel Drive's

I have some new seals on the way. Probably happen this weekend as long as the seals make it. Can repack the inner bearings too.

Re: 1964 Travelall and 1967 Travelette All Wheel Drive's

All buttoned up. Took her for a shake down drive. Have to say that it stops as well as any late model. Very nice pedal and low effort to bring to a quick stop. I think the hydraulics are set up to...

Re: 1964 Travelall and 1967 Travelette All Wheel Drive's

Correct, Quite a bit of machining, and extra curricular activities on the first set.
Test drive will commence on this coming Sunday. I don't expect any difficulties. Will report back after the...

Re: 5 Speed conversion for 1946 K5 Truck

The t34 35 and 36 are the same on the outside and came behind the SV series of engines. I don't know about those transmissions being offered behind the other IH engines. Maybe some one else can offer...

Re: 345 Rebuild

That should be OK from a diameter perspective. The hone is designed to work in a 4-1/8 bore so it is bigger than 4-1/8.

I would use the 240 for the finish hone.

Re: 345 Rebuild

Optimum quench is considered .035-.040" on a new tight engine. By ~ .055 the quench effect is considered gone.
Zero deck to .005 in the hole would be perfect for a .040 HG. I don't recommend less...

Re: 1964 Travelall and 1967 Travelette All Wheel Drive's
