Re: Andy's 75 Scout 250

I Had similar play in both doors in both my scouts, along with one or two broken hinge pins, and I ended up rebuilding the hinges in both. I ordered the hinge pins through IHPA at the time. I don't...

Re: Mopar small block on IH 727

Nope
The IH 727 bell housing is specific to IH motors.

If one is heart set on a mopar engine, then get the mopar 727 trans to match. Then swap the internals of the IH727, along with the IH...

Re: Mopar small block on IH 727

Re: 1962 Scout 80 for sale in Alviso

Yes it did.
But, unfortunately, I currently don't have a place to store it. I'm about 6 months to a year out, before I'm able to get back into something like this.

Re: 1962 Scout 80 for sale in Alviso

Re: New Members please check in here

Welcome

By the sound of it, one possible culprit is a low battery. Verify the condition of the battery. I been able to get a jump start when not enough juice was available to crank over the engine

Re: New Members please check in here

On the fuse block install in my friends 800, it's mounted on the side of the transmission tunnel, just under that one hole where one of the OEM bulkhead connectors used to be. That photo, I posted...

Welcome Randy
I recently rewired my own '72 scout II and, also, helped a fireman friend rewire his '69 scout 800. Both kwikwire kits, had the fuse block mounted on driver side under the dash

Re: 72 Ole Yeller

Spent some time installing the battery box and battery isolator. Since my plan is to route 1/0 gauge cable from the inverter to the battery box at the tailgate, under the length of the cab, I mounted...

Re: gas tank help.

Thanks Jeff
Had me stumped at first. Makes sense. Threw me off because I have helped a couple friends with two separate '69 800's, and I don't recall seeing the evaporator system in either one. ...

My thoughts exactly.

I'm not sure about those rectangular auxiliary tanks are. I have worked on several '69 scout 800's. And have not come across those additional tanks. Might be something that a...

Re: Ride Quality with Rough Country 4" Lift

I personally have done A SOA conversion on my own scout A few years ago. Gained roughly 5-1/2" lift. That was with the oem leaf springs that were already on the scout at the time.
I recommend doing...

Re: 1973 Open Knuckle Dana 30 Disc Conversion

In my '72 ole yeller, some P.O. was kind enough to swap in a complete D-44 from a later scout with disc brakes. My 73 beast came from factory with a D-44 with disc brakes(there is a story behind...

Re: 1973 Open Knuckle Dana 30 Disc Conversion

Also, don't forget about the master cylinder. Once you convert the front axle to disc brakes, the original master cylinder won't be compatible.
