Re: T-35 swap

First and reverse are non-synchro.

The transmissions are large -- I "think" at least one person has put an IH 5 speed in a Scout II (other forums). It requires a body lift (or transmission...

Arrow Re: How to find what year engine?

Reread my "source" - crismon's IH book and I found references for the v-266 being used / available in 1968 and 1969.

You have the correct tag - and it looks like an "o" to me.

So, regardless...

Re: carb question

Do not think a 2 bbl on a 4bbl manifold would work well at all.

Do not know why you would want to try it -- other than you have a 2 bbl laying around.

Generally, the replacement is a Holley...

Re: 1974 camperspecial W/ 392 wont fire

I am not familiar with IH goldbox / prestolite systems.

No real idea / knowledge on position of #8, but I checked my Holley points distributor and #8 does "face" ("closest to") the radiator.

Re: How to find what year engine?

I do not know... I took the "list" from posts on the binder planet on the same subject. A couple of other people had compiled the list.

Since there are not many people with 67 and older sv...

The above info on t34, t35 and t36 transmissions is incorrect.

T34 and t36 transmissions were available as an option on t/a and pickups (do not know the first year they were available) as well...

Re: T-35 swap

The t-35 is a med duty IH truck transmission. Most of these probably did not "offer" 4wd.

The t-34 and t-36 were the 5 speeds that were put in pickups and t/as.

I think there are 1 or 2...
