Alright so its a 74 with a 345 (so I was told haven't verified yet) 4 speed disc brake Dana 30 up front 44 out back 3.73 geared and a SOA lift with a very scary looking homemade z bar that has got to go,so far just swapped out the carb for a known good Holley I had and got it running properly and replaced the top and tailgate with ones outta my parts pile the po apparently had a hell of night he can't remember and woke up parked in the middle of some trees

Ok so at this point I had the suspention where I wanted it put in a new steering pump and drove it to work for a few days but a valueable lesson I learned from my very first Scout was that go figure these things are rusty! Guess I thought it would fix itself so I just ignored the issue and drove the tires off it till it literally folded in half, so not wanting to make the same mistake twice I wasted no time on this new turd to tear out the seat and floor mat and see what I could do, I was alittle shocked at a po fix for the lack of body mounts gotta hand it to him though it was alittleAttachment 28592

So I put in new body bushing wherever there was still a body mount left to do so then went to town with a cutting disc starting on the drivers side getting it all cut out and coming up with a plan to rebuild it with some stronger stuff from my local steel yard nothing that hasn't been done already a dozen times and covered in great detail on this site but ill still try to throw some pictures up along the way maybe somebody will find it useful

I made a new rocker outta 3x3 tubing if I had to do it again I woulda used some thicker steel but still twice as thick as original and plenty strong its hard to see in this picture but I replaced the center shelf mount with a piece of 1.5x 3 inch tubing as well it ties in nicely between the new rocker and back dogleg this was the best solution I could come up with sense there was nothing left of the original to salvage

Front floor mount in place not sure if it really needs it but I'm gonna add a gusset to the rocker just for a bit more strength
